Abstract
The cultural background as one of the most important aspects of contextualism and native architecture, which reflects the valuable patterns of contextualism in line with the background and cultural mentality of man, can be suitable solutions in giving identity to architectural patterns in design. The current research aims to pay attention to the cultural context and the cultural mentality of humans in achieving identity patterns in the design of tourism eco-complexes. In order to achieve the research objectives (location of the design of tourism eco-complexes), four main criteria And not the selected sub-criteria of extraction, which is used to weight the indicators from the ANP1 model, finally, two suitable sites for locating tourism eco-complexes in Hormuz Island have been selected based on the criteria and sub-criteria. The upcoming research is of qualitative type and descriptive analytical research method. The method of accessing library and field information is completed through a case study (Hormoz Island). The research results state that in context-oriented design, in addition to paying attention to the physical dimensions of the building base, it is also necessary to refer to the cultural dimensions of its context. Rappaport emphasizes that the form has meaning in a cultural context, which should be taken into consideration in the context-oriented architectural design, especially in the design of tourism landscapes.
